Why we know Oxted
Oxted sits just along the A25 from our South Godstone premises, making it one of the closest towns we work in. We cover Oxted itself along with Limpsfield, Hurst Green, Holland and the surrounding hamlets at the foot of the North Downs.
The housing here is a distinctive mix: Victorian and Edwardian property in Old Oxted and along the older roads, substantial Arts and Crafts and inter-war houses on the wooded slopes, and later twentieth-century and modern development around the station and Hurst Green.
Because we are so close, small jobs make sense here as well as large ones. Replacing a couple of misted units or servicing a sticking door is not a journey for us, so we are happy to do the work that firms travelling from further afield would rather not quote.
Property types we work on here
- Victorian and Edwardian houses in Old Oxted
- Arts and Crafts and inter-war homes on the slopes
- Post-war and modern development near the station
- Rural and semi-rural property towards the North Downs
What Oxted customers most often need
- Sympathetic replacement windows for older housing
- Aluminium glazing and bi-folds on rear extensions
- Replacement sealed units and hardware repairs
- Front door upgrades in aluminium and composite
- Conservatory roof replacement and insulated conversions
- Porches on exposed frontages

Local issues
Common glazing problems in Oxted
Older frames on sloping, wooded plots
Shaded, tree-lined plots around Oxted and Limpsfield stay damp for longer after rain, which is hard on timber frames and on any seal that has already started to fail.
Conservation areas in Old Oxted
Parts of Old Oxted and Limpsfield are within conservation areas where alterations to front elevations are controlled. We flag likely consent requirements before manufacture rather than after.
Non-standard period openings
Arts and Crafts and Edwardian houses in the area rarely have standard openings. Everything is made to the surveyed size, with cills and trims cut on site to suit the reveal.
Our process
How the job runs, start to finish
Step 1
Free survey
We visit, measure and look at the existing openings, lintels, cills and reveals. The survey is free and carries no obligation.
Step 2
Specification and quotation
You get one clear written quotation covering frames, glass, hardware, fitting, making good and certification; no hidden extras added later.
Step 3
Manufacture
Your frames are made to the surveyed sizes in UPVC or aluminium, with your chosen colours, glazing specification and hardware finishes.
Step 4
Installation
Our own installers fit the job. The work area is sheeted up and protected, materials are kept tidy and debris is cleared away each day.
Step 5
Making good
All making good is completed internally and externally, so the finished opening looks right from both sides before we leave.
Step 6
Certification and aftercare
You receive a FENSA certificate for replacement glazing, full product care advice and a 10-year comprehensive insurance-backed guarantee.
Questions
Oxted questions, answered
Do you cover Oxted?
Yes. Oxted is part of our regular working area. We are based at Unit 6 Brickhouse Farm Trading Estate in South Godstone, a short run from Oxted, and we have four installers working as two teams on the road.
How soon can you survey a property in Oxted?
Call us Monday to Friday between 8am and 5pm and we will book a survey directly with you. The survey is free and carries no obligation, and we confirm the appointment and the likely programme in writing.
What does a window or door installation cost in Oxted?
Every property is different, so we quote after a free survey rather than publishing prices. Your written quotation covers the survey, frames, glass, fitting, full making good inside and out, rubbish removal and certification; there are no extras added afterwards.
Are you FENSA registered for work in Oxted?
Yes. We are a FENSA approved installer, so replacement glazing is self-certified and your FENSA certificate is issued after the work. There is no council notification for you to arrange. We are also CHAS accredited and our installations are covered by InstallSure.
What guarantee do I get in Oxted?
All of our installations carry a 10-year comprehensive insurance-backed guarantee underwritten through InstallSure, alongside full product care and after-sales service.
Do you handle emergencies or urgent repairs in Oxted?
We carry out repairs, replacement glass and sliders across the area during our normal hours of Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm. Call us with the details and we will tell you honestly when we can attend rather than promising a slot we cannot keep.
Can trade customers in Oxted buy supply only?
Yes. Send drawings or a schedule and we will quote from them. Finished frames can be collected from our Godstone trade counter, where there is ample parking, or delivered on request.
How far is Oxted from your premises?
A few minutes along the A25 from Unit 6 Brickhouse Farm Trading Estate, South Godstone. Oxted is effectively on our doorstep.
Will you quote for a small job in Oxted?
Yes. Because we are so close, replacing a couple of sealed units or sorting out a door that will not lock is straightforward work for us rather than an awkward call-out.
